About chic aktivist

chic aktivist is an eco-friendly fashion retailer, currently selling clothes from Australian designers and beyond.  The collections stocked by chic aktivist have edgy yet modern classic styling upheld by an environmental ethos, ensuring that you will look and feel great in clothing that will transcend time.

Our products

Our distinctive range of designer eco-wear are produced from environmentally friendly materials such as certified organic cotton and/or bamboo. In fact, more than 90% of clothing stocked by chic aktivist is made from certified organic cotton and/or certified bamboo fibre. Some designers also use remnant fabric, hemp/silks, or reclaimed buttons. Organic cotton and bamboo are grown free of synthetic fertilisers, pesticides, and genetic engineering, and low impact dyes are used where possible, thus giving a pure, soft, and strong fibre.

chic aktivist only stocks clothing by eco-fashion designers who use certified eco-friendly fibers. The fabric and business process certifications acquired by each supplier is listed in our Brand Certification table.

Our beliefs and practices

Supporting organically grown natural fibres reduces the amount of synthetic chemicals exposed to growers, manufacturers, the environment and to the people who wear the clothes.

In addition to sourcing certified eco-friendly fashion, we also aim to be sustainable in all our business practices. Recycled paper or paper from sustainably managed forests are used for packaging, flyers, business cards and even swing tags. Low impact dyes are used in printing of promotional information such as business cards and flyers. Biodegradable bags are used for postage.

Our vision is to bring about sustainable change to apparel manufacturing by creating viable and competitive alternatives that are supported by you, our customers.
